Loads of appliqué with appliqué on appliqué
I cut the background triangle larger than pattern.pueced the centre triangle to the background
Then added the two sides and top
You can see the excess I have allowed here
Then I drew the outline for the appliqué
Ten appliquéd the centre diamonds first
Then the melons around the centre
And finally the 3 bottom diamonds
Then I trimmed the entire triangle to the dear jane triangle
