My latest favourite helper

I bought this from Clover - a multipurpose little helper.

It works as a mini ironing board on front and back, so use this with my mini iron next to sewing machine.

It also has a page with sandpaper great for placing pieces for blocks

And then the real magic it has a little cutting page great for cutting when doing foundation paper piercing, can cut without leaving the machine
